Cable length (2x for sensor + pump)

The HydroMetrics GW50PC™ nitrate sensor is designed for installation within a water body or well where regular cleaning is not desirable and the well internal diameter is > 55mm (2 3/16").

  1. The measurement cell in this sensor is submerged for scheduled measurements. The Water-Jet™ cleaning system on this sensor is configured to pump water through the measurement cell on a regular cycle.
  2. Biological activity in groundwater can create biofilms on the measurement cell of the GW50 sensors. Testing has shown that a water jet is an effective method for cleaning the sensor resulting in a significant reduction in the need for manual cleaning. We have conducted tests where sensors that required monthly cleaning have been left 12 months with no biofilm build up.

Common uses:

  • Drinking water and stock water monitoring.
  • Long term measurement of total nitrates in groundwater via a bore or well at a site with data logging and/or remote telemetered data.
  • Accurate and reliable measurement of total nitrates in surface water including rivers, streams, lakes, farm waterways, irrigation channels and water treatment (industrial/municipal) facilities where contamination with DOC (Dissolved Organic Carbon) is low.
  • Catchment level remediation programs.

Comes with:

The package includes a hard plastic protective carry case, pump unit (ready to attach), 2 x cables (sensor and pump), & stainless-steel suspension tag.
