The HydroMetrics GW50™ optical nitrate sensor range measures total nitrate directly in irrigation water or soil leachate, giving real-time data without lab tests or chemicals. It helps farmers optimize fertilizer use, reduce runoff, and improve crop yields by monitoring nitrate levels instantly.

HydroMetrics offers four variants of the GW50™ to meet different needs on farms and other agricultural operations:

    1. The HydroMetrics GW50™ nitrate sensor is designed for installation within a water body or well.
    2. The HydroMetrics GW50PC™ nitrate sensor is designed for installation within a water body or well where regular cleaning is not possible. The Water-Jet™ cleaning system on this sensor can be configured to pump water through the measurement cell on a regular cycle.
    3. The HydroMetrics GW50FC™ nitrate sensor is designed for situations where a suitable bore is not available to install a nitrate sensor. Water can be pumped from the water source and piped directly through the measurement cell in this sensor.
    4. The HydroMetrics Portable GW50™ nitrate sensor is designed for situations where multiple field measurements are taken in different locations. The water sample is collected and placed directly in the measurement cell of this sensor and the on-board control module activates the sensor and records a nitrate reading.
